Muatmd Cloud ("we", "us", or "the App") is an employee attendance and workforce management application operated by Muatmd Cloud. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to provide attendance and workforce features:

a) Information you provide

• Account details: name, work email address, employee ID, and password used to create and secure your account.
• Profile information: optional profile photo and job-related details you or your employer add.
• Leave & attendance inputs: leave requests, dates, reasons, and attendance punches you submit.

b) Information collected automatically

• Location data: with your permission, precise and/or approximate location captured at the moment you clock in or clock out, to verify attendance at the correct workplace.
• Device & usage data: device model, operating system, app version, and network/connectivity status used to keep the App reliable.
• Log data: basic diagnostic information (such as error logs) to troubleshoot issues.

c) Information from your device (only when you use it)

• Camera: to capture an attendance selfie or profile photo.
• Photos / storage: to let you select an existing image to upload.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Record and verify attendance (clock-in / clock-out) and work hours.
• Manage leave requests, balances, and approval status.
• Provide your attendance history and employee dashboard with summaries and charts.
• Authenticate your account and keep it secure.
• Give your employer/organization the attendance and workforce reports needed to manage staff.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the App.

3. App Permissions

Permission	Why we use it
Location (fine / coarse)	To validate that attendance punches happen at the correct workplace. Used only during the clock-in/out action — not for continuous background tracking.
Camera	Only when you choose to capture an attendance selfie or profile photo inside the App.
Photos / media / storage	Only when you select an image to upload (e.g., profile picture).
Internet / network state	To sync your data securely with our servers and to detect connectivity.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Where data-protection law (such as the GDPR) applies, we process your information on the following bases:

• Performance of a contract / employment: to provide the attendance service your employer uses.
• Legitimate interests: to secure, maintain, and improve the App.
• Consent: for optional features such as camera or photo access (you may withdraw consent anytime).
• Legal obligation: where we must keep records or disclose information by law.

5. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in these cases:

• Your employer/organization: attendance, leave, and profile data are visible to the administrators who manage your account.
• Service providers: trusted cloud/hosting providers that operate the App on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations.
• Legal requirements: when required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
• Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice where required.

6. Third-Party Services

The App integrates the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

• Google Maps Platform / Google Play services — used to display maps and support location features. See Google Privacy Policy.
• Cloud hosting provider — used to store and process your data securely on our behalf.

7. Data Retention

We keep your information only as long as your account is active or as needed for the purposes above, and as required by your employer or applicable law. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it securely.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and access controls — to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Delete your data, subject to legal/employment record-keeping requirements.
• Restrict or object to certain processing.
• Data portability — receive your data in a usable format.
• Withdraw consent for optional processing at any time.

10. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for employees and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us so we can delete it.

Your information may be processed on servers located outside your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect your data during such transfers.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Effective" date above. Significant changes may also be communicated within the App. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
